For users that are trading on Bitshares exchange this little tool might be useful.
Why do I need it?
There is a nice Bitshares explorer Bts.ai that allows to see market trades on Bitshares DEX in real time or almost. Difference with other places is that it shows you all trades together with usernames.
You can use this Bitshares explorer market activity page as a monitoring tool to see what is happening on Bitshares DEX.
But current Bts.ai explorer page style is clumsy and does not fit into full page. It does not show you how many bots are currently trading on exchange.
It is fun to see how many bots are actually trading on exchange and may calm you down, when you realize that fighting with bots is useless. 😂
What this style does?
- It removes some spaces and reduces some font sizes
- Hides header and some elements on page
- Fits the whole page into full screen
- Adds emoji robot face 🤖 for identified bots and others smiley 🙂 (currently 17 identified bots)
How to install?
Two little steps:
- Open Firefox (should be working on Chrome as well, have not tested)
- Install this style Bts.ai explorer market activity style
Step by step.
If you do not have Stylish installed, this is what you see when you open Bts.ai Bitshares explorer market activity page.
Click on the button Install with Stylish.
Depending on your browser, you will be redirected to your add-ons page. In my case it is Firefox.
Click on the button Add to Firefox and install this add-on. Then return to the previous Userstyles.org page with style.
On userstyles.org website you see "normal" button with Install Style on it. Click on it.
Now we can enjoy the newly installed style. Open Bts.ai market website and enjoy it.
You can deactivate this style using Stylish button on the right, to see how it changes the page style.
Limitations
- This is first alpha release
- There are some bugs on Bts.ai page. Like on trade history "taker" link is wrong. So, this style does not help much.
- Only 17 bots identified
That's a very cool tool. And especially interesting to know that there are 17 identified bots.
What's your opinion about these bots?
I think it's great if they provide liquidity but it's terrible when they drive down the price during a margin call and create an artificial dump scenario.
Bots are in all exchanges. This is how it works. 😉
Bitshares as exchange is decentralized and transparent. However, there were no normal tools that could give this kind of information to users. Bts.ai is a new player and it shows users. So, I hope to get used to it and see how things goes.
I have played with this tool only for a day, so it has no information (only 17 bots so far). I hope to monitor the market and maybe think of some more powerful and useful tool. Maybe somebody of those explorer creators sees this post and creates something useful.
Transparency is generally good I agree, especially knowing who the bots are.
I've been following the development of the two public bitshares bots and autonio, and at least the two public ones think that they will improve the margin call mechanics and make it a bit harder for the other bots to speculate as strongly as now.
I really hope that happens, but let's see.
Whatever happens, happens for good! 🙏
We need some bad bots to make better ones.
Super cool little info tool, i like it :-)
I don't know much about crypto market features, but this is a very detailed illustration. Thanks @scorer. Checking it out right away...
Interesting.
It looks like really useful tool, I'm sad that I'm using Safari mostly.
It is not a problem. Just checked and it works like a charm on Safari. 😉
