Use Coinbase to get a USD transfer (free) going that takes about 7 days, but then use GDAX. It is the Coinbase backend, and doesn't charge any fees. Easy to move USD from your Coinbase account into GDAX, and then buy into BTC, Ether, or Litecoin with NO FEES!
