RE: Fight for our Freedom

in #bitshares7 years ago (edited)

In order for someone to be "rich" there must be a person who is understood as "less rich" or "poor". Wealth is generated through a combination of labor (manual, symbolic, creative) and capital (factories, technology, materials). However, once wealth is generated, that wealth is shared unevenly. The guys who make the cars have a smaller share of the wealth generated (in the form of wages) than the guys who own the factory (in the form of profits). The capitalist is rich, and the worker is poor.
In order for someone to remain rich, this process of unequal wealth distribution must continue. Profits increase when wages are lowered or workers are laid off without a loss of productivity (i.e. the workers are worked harder). Indeed, check the stock prices of any corporation after layoffs are announced. There is tremendous amount of pressure for companies to squeeze as much out of workers as possible and to show how much profit they have made.

But the problem is within the government. Health insurance official from our government here in the Philippines earns millions of pesos through corruption, then they increase the tax more in order to suffice their needs. Even NGO(Non Government Organizations) are used by government officials for kickbacks. Now, the salaries of policemen in the Philippines are doubled, but did they change the safety and order in our country? No, there's still kidnapping, robbing, killing even in broad day light. They make law to provide for themselves and law to protect them from doing bad things.

We are tired of the old corrupted system and work hard to elect the president we wanted. After our hard effort a lot of changes happened. Corrupt officials getting prosecuted, drugs factories getting raided, and so on. . . We too can do that in our crypto community. We can fight these crooks(SEC) in exchange for our votes. Too bad I don't reside in the U.S. but if I am, I will fight for what is right. We have the power to elect the people who will lead us on this fight. Senators need us in order for them to have a seat at the government. If we don't let out our voices be heard, SEC will continue to do what they want whenever they want. This is just the beginning of a bigger fight. Our freedom is at stake here.

Upvote, as I know you hv a pertinent point here . I certainly realize that crime in #Phillippines is out of control (sadly) .

And I hate to see it . I Feel as u do (1 of my best friends being a Filipino Lady)

Thank you @janashby! It truly is there's a group of kidnapper roaming across the region and I somewhat feel that police are doing nothing to stop this. They are kidnapping kids age ranging from 12-16 years old.
