Nose rings are ornaments that not everyone likes to wear. It doesn't match up with your western outfits but makes you look awesome in your traditional attire. I remember when I was around 12 years old my mom told me that she wants me to get my nose pierced so that I could wear a nose ring very much like she does.

Was I happy? Kind of yes. I always wanted a nose ring because I had always seen mum flaunting one, but never thought it would pain. It took the little me some minutes to get the nose pierced and then started the nightmare. I was too young for the piercing. I was not the fittest person who could keep the piercing safe. Within a week, the piercing had turned into some thing infectious. My
Doctor advised to remove the nose ring and let the piercing heal while being on antibiotics. After around a month, the piercing looked normal and I could wear my nose ring again.
I absolutely love my nose ring, I cannot imagine my face without it. But, I didn't know how dangerous these nose rings could be until I read this piece of news about a 78 year old woman who accidentally inhaled the screw of her nose ring which passed through her nostrils and got lodged in lungs. Doctors removed the gold screw from the lungs through bronchoscope which was otherwise not possible without a complicated surgery.
I am now extra careful about my nose ring and make sure that I check the screw at least twice every day to ensure that it is in place.
