Good afternoon grappling gators.....niceties done time to slap and bump and roll. For the people visiting the gym for the first time, this is an ongoing series where we go through the standard white belt curriculum so that we can achieve the goals of showing new folks that they should jump in and train BJJ (or another martial art for that matter) filling in our game if we already train, and putting the curriculum on the best blockchain on the planet for future steemians.
I just finished class where we trained guillotine defenses from full guard as well as the standing guillotine. More on that tomorrow when we go through my phone pics and see where Saturday eventually took me. This class is a continuation of last class ( https://steemit.com/bjj/@zekepickleman/white-belt-curriculum-full-mount-technique-and-escapes ) with some really good supplementary mount escapes to add to your game.
Personal take-aways/opinion
- I love the Windshield escape as much as Ryan does. You get to stay relatively safe and the more they attack the collar, the more they open up that leg for escape
- I HATED the grapevine before I participated in this class! More options no matter how they mount.
- Whenever you roll with Ryan, he is ALWAYS making those hip adjustments from every position and it feels impossible to control or progress properly. BJJ = hips.
- The filming has come a long way since the first classes!
Right on! Good one bro.
Just trying to stay healthy and happy and dangerous!
Hey man, I just made my picks for tonights card, let me know what you think ;)
Oh shit will do!
Thanks man, appreciate it, gonna start doing some bigger posts going forward.
Awesome video! Fundamentals should always be in everyone's curriculum.
