Another Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA has defected to the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal. Krishna Kalyani, a resident of Raiganj in North Dinajpur, was active in grassroots politics. He quit the grassroots a few months before the Assembly elections and ran on a BJP ticket, winning the seat. The BJP has already written to him, accusing him of violating party rules.
