Procession of the Black Nazarene is more popular & draws millions of devotees. The city of Manila hosts the Feast of Black Nazarene that culminates with a solemn procession or traslacion will take place on January 9th. The walks start late at night after the midnight mass, so you should come in the evening the day before. The statue of Black Nazarene is carried through the Quiapo district to the Quiapo Church. Catholic devotees of the Black Nazarene are expected to flock on the streets of Manila on January 9, 2019

Each year over 12 million devotees scramble to touch the image of Jesus as it is carried through the streets of Manila in a procession that can last up to 20 hours.

The theme of Traslacion 2019 is: "Deboto ng Poong Hesus Nazareno: Hinirang at pinili upang maging lingkod Niya (Devotees of the Lord Jesus the Nazarene: Chosen to serve Him)."

This year's procession will follow this route from the Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park to the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo:
