Launched 3 years ago, in February of 2014 :: and it looks like it's made quite a jump in the month of June.
(That's an Old video, but I liked that it gave the date the coin was created.)
What people are pretty excited about with Blackcoin is that's Proof of Stake, which differs from Proof of Work. In case you need a quick explanation (here is one that helped me!)

While learning about Blackcoin earlier I was more than impressed by what they were offering. For example, check out their Obsidian CryptoVault -
While there is no doubt that Bitcoin is the grandaddy, Ethereum (which crossed $400 this morning) is clearly the future. Several other coins run on Ethereum (Steem included), and that's also the case with Blackcoin. Timing, Is, everything!

Nice article. Good to see I'm not the only one who thinks like this. The crypto space brings the biggest group of uneducated investors with it. This group will only grow.
