I had my friend give me some basic directions on what to do to make as a base sculpt and this is what I came up with.
Hi Res
I'm. It sure if anyone would ever want any of these models but if there is any interest in can for sure upload them.
Made in blender 2.83 alpha
One of the kids walked in at the wrong time and reckons it would be an amazing horror game model ^_^;
What do you mean by base, as in starting from box modelling to a basic shape you can sculpt details onto?
Haha really? It might be, they are for sure weird enough to be in something like that!
Oh, I guess I should have been a little more clear. I meant like, to make a base sculpt, like, should it have any long bits, flat bits, stuff like that. I generally just start with the sphere and use a bunch of edits with the snakehook tool to get something I like the shape of, but I wanted him to give me some ideas! :)
Ahh gotcha. Well there's nothing wrong with just starting from a cube too (or perhaps I would say that as that's how I do most organic shapes, got told it was "wrong" and that I "should" be butting together prims to make the basic shape before sculpting but that doesn't work for me). You can always retopo after if you want to rig it :)
Oh I start with cubes all the time, but usually I just do a new "sculpting" file and it starts with a sphere. But I guess it really depends on what I'm making, sometimes I'll just throw prims in and block out some odd stuff, remesh it, sculpt, and just make some strange odd things. It's all good fun.
And there's no real wrong way to make something really, it's just kind of like, how easy do you want it to be in the end or how few of steps so you want to take. I do tons of stuff wrong and I don't really recommend it but I also don't mind since I'm learning that way! :)
Also rigging is something I have only really done once and it seems like a pain bit it will be a useful thing to know in the future if I ever want to pose my creations. Haha
