I learnt how to turn a rubber floaty into a donut.
What looked like a plastic device that allowed you to float on water, has now turned edible.
Such is life.
See how realistic that donut has become? I did that.
By watching tutorials.
The new features
Sculpting is quite fun & easier than I expected. It's like MS Paint, but the brush can now create 3D stuff.
Though there are many confusing options I learnt about, which probably won't stand the test of my long-term memory.
Dreams are realizing?
I've always thought that I was into creating stuff with my hands, but pottery wasn't something I wanted to take up full-time.
Blender seems to be exactly what I was looking for: I can create what I want, from the comfort of my computer chair. Perfect for a guy who likes to make stuff, but has been a life-long gamer stuck to his PC screen.
Exciting times are probably approaching.
The fears and doubts
I can already hear thoughts like, "Oh, but by myself, I'm not creative enough to create things. It's only thanks to the tutorial I'm watching."
But that isn't the learner's mindset.
From Khan Academy, if there's one thing I remember learning, it's the Growth Mindset (as opposed to Fixed Mindset.)
Meaning, we can always learn anything. The brain is always growing.
And so are you.

How's the donut going? I'm following to see more from you. I hope you won't get demotivated so soon by 3D modelling (that happened to me before). But it seems like things are going quite well for you, so I'd say donut doubt your ability to learn, even by yourself!
