Nice post man. Ethereum has the use of being Smart Contract based Blockchain. It's blockchain is just hard to scale and hard to code.
The best Use case for Ether is Arcade City, the now decentralized Uber / Lyft competitor functioning at a global grassroots level. Still, there concept was beyond ride share, but rather to empower all users of the Arcade City platform to sell any service that the user offered.
Basically if you needed a ride, a babysitter, and your groceries while you were on a date or at a meeting, in theory, if that person offered those services then you could pay them in the Arcade City Ethereum Tokens to do it.
Even so, above this is still Steem. There is no other true utility like Steem and it's blockchain.
