The State of West Virginia announced that the use of blockchain-based mobile application voting system for absentee ballots to be collected is now official and it will take effect in the forthcoming mid-term elections in November. The announcement is a clear indication that this nascent tech is moving in the right direction. The state has urged citizens to collect the mobile application voting system which is based on blockchain for absentee ballots. As of last Friday, using the blockchain based voting system, citizens of the state-based aboard or happened to be abroad during the voting exercise were able to partake in the exercise making use of an app referred to as VOATZ. The app will focus on the members of West Virginia military citizens who are outside the country.
