Online Peer-to-Peer money transactions have long been no news. However, a segmentation of remittances on the basis of the market type is an approach that has been rarely applied. Nevertheless, it can optimize the use of digital infrastructures and can therefore encourage the providers from a particular segment to use such a system for their business transactions. Aclyd is a project that aims to provide a comprehensive and affordable solution for conducting payments in the segment of age-restricted goods. Aclyd Project has designed a system for P2P transactions to serve a trade and supply of alcoholic beverages.
System Structure of Smart Payments
With a rather simple model, it first identifies a simple way for conducting payments with the Aclyd Wallet and shows that home delivery generates double income given that the system for online payments works around-the-clock. Due to the fact, that Aclyd was specifically designed for selling age-restricted goods, digital age verification has become one of the main issues to be addressed. In the offline context, buyers might be asked to provide their ID card to prove their age. Online age verification, however, can be implemented through payment mechanisms. Aclyd Wallet will deny access to purchasing alcoholic goods without age verification.
Aclyd will primarily focus on tequila market. The global tequila market is characterised by leading brands who dominate the segment. Aclyd will support the development of a unified network which will meet the needs of farmers, suppliers and brand owners. In this network, brands will be able to directly connect with the farmers.
Up to date, the team has partnered up with Fuego Fino Inc., a licensed tequila business company who is a big wholesaler as well. In this sense, Aclyd tokens will be used as a means of cross-border transactions with Fuego Fino Inc. as well as other importers. Another function of the tokens is to facilitate transactions involved in the supply chain. The company will use the funds it raises to build its technology on the Ethereum blockchain. ICO participants will have access to a wide range of products from all importers and wholesalers of Aclyd and order the door-to-door delivery while using the application.
ICO Details
Public sale has started on September 8 and will end on October 31, 2018.
So far, the project can be described as niche product for alcoholic beverage market. Owing to its narrow scope of services, the company may have better chances to attract partners among a representative sample in this segment. This, obviously, will make it easier for investors to enter the market. Starting from the tequila market, Aclyd aims to connect US-based brands with manufactures from Mexico.
Though the alcoholic beverages market involves large beverages manufacturers and the global market is huge generating fabulous profit, this sector itself should not be used as pure means of investments attraction. We would therefore recommend the team to better elaborate the technology they provide by clarifying how the whole system will work. This might possibly strengthen the project.
