We are experiencing a massive wave of "Blockchain Games" hitting the market, like I explained on my last review some of them are good and some of them are just pyramid schemes that look pretty. But during my research there was one project that stood out: Chibi Fighters
Before we get into details of how the game works and why I think its amazing, lets first remember why anyone would want to create a game in a Blockchain:
Blockchain allows for the creation of Non-Fungible Tokens, what this means is that the token is unique and it can't not be replaced or copied, think about it like tradable baseball cards that can be exchanged almost instantly with anyone around the globe. The representation of the token could be anything in a Graphic User Interface, in this case these unique tokens come in the form of Chibi Fighters!
So whats so good about Chibi Fighters?
Well for starters the project has a Team and its founder, Garry Runke, is not afraid to give his real name and chat with the community on Discord. All the research I have done indicates that Chibi Fighters is a legit project with a lot of people working on it. This is always a big plus in crypto projects that sometimes tend to be shady and mysterious.
Now we got the "is that project a scam?" out of the way. We can focus on the actual gameplay of Chibi Fighters. So, here is the catch: Chibis are amazingly looking creatures that live on a remote Island and can fusion amongst them to generate new Chibis.
So, like in CryptoKitties you can have your own Chibis and fuse them to get other rare Chibis with different attributes, but unlike CrypoKitties you can get into battles with other players and compete in Brawls and in the Ring of Death!
These two battles are done in the Ethereum Blockchain and you can fight and win some ETH if you come out victorious, the difference among the two is that, well, your Chibi dies on the Ring of Death, duh!
But here comes the really cool part about Chibi Fighters, you can also play for FREE!. Yes, for free means no transaction fee or ETH is involved, this is possible because is done off-chain and I think that is a great feature of the game, because don't you just hate paying for everything? In fact, some aspects of the game will be done off-chain to make it faster and cheaper.
How to participate
So, you like the game and you want in right? Well the game won't actually be launched until the 12th of May but you can buy a "Founder Chibi" now and start playing on the 30th of Abril. It is also important to point out that Founder Chibis are limited, special and super cheap right now!
I will keep a close eye on this project so expect more updates and reviews as the launch date approaches!

I understand the need for covering network fees and such but I see this being a big turn off for most potential players that are tired of In App Purchases.
