The sporting industry has been around for ages. From the '90s until today, the industry has been undergoing different innovations. At the inception of the Internet over two (2) decades ago, sporting activities have been able to move through different phases.
There was the Internet that ushered in the newest form of interactions called Interactive Gaming (iGaming). iGaming, on its part, created an opening for athletes and their supporters/fans to benefit from the system. Although it rewarded fans for staking their bets on games, there was still a need to close the widening gap between the core participants in the global world of sports. That need triggered the inception of the Project WITH blockchain.
UNVEILING THE WITH PLATFORM
Project We Identify The Hidden (WITH) is a blockchain-backed platform dedicated to the growth of the global sporting community. Ideally, the structure on the blockchain is a decisive factor that would enable it in achieving the set goals. That notwithstanding, let’s look at the unique properties that make the WITH platform the rallying point for the global sports community.
THE MONO ECOSYSTEM
Blockchain has been able to forge interactions among participants without the presence of an intermediary. The same plays out here on the WITH blockchain platform, courtesy of the mono ecosystem.
The ecosystem features the core participants in the global world of sports. Here, we’re looking at the likes of athletes, managers, fans, clubs, and their agents. The WITH platform becomes the platform that connects all these participants in the mono ecosystem.
It would interest you to know that each of these participants has a unique duty expected of them on the WITH platform. To that end, read further to discover the jobs/responsibilities of these participants.
THE ATHLETES
In the centralized structure, athletes, such as footballers, find it hard to choose the clubs they would move to. Instead, the clubs interested in their (athlete)’s services would communicate with the agents.
On the contrary, the WITH platform empowers the athletes to have insights on the activities of the clubs, the agents, and all other concerned parties that would make their transfer possible. The athletes would have to register on the platform to gain access.
THE CLUBS
The club has to send out openings to the agents. As a position provider, the clubs would alert the agents of the athletes about the available positions they expect the athletes to take up in their clubs.
AGENTS
The agents would also register on the platform to enable them to provide the athletes with information about the latest openings from clubs. The agents, would, in turn, communicate the information to the athletes.
FANS
The fans do not "have a say" in the regular sports ecosystem that is under the control of centralized institutions.
However, the WITH platform empowers them to influence the movement/transfer of athletes from one club side to the other. The fans also take up the roles of content communicators, through which they provide updates in the transfer market. They would get tokenized incentives for that.
THE WITH DApp
The WITH Decentralized Application (DApp) is the one-stop communicative parameter for all the participants in the WITH platform. Through the DApp, athletes can register to get matched to career openings. The DApp also allows clubs to access the market values of the target athletes before bidding for their services. Finally, it has a little blog where sports-related contents can be curated.
