According to a blog post published on the JSECoin blog they just launched a PHP API wrapper for their blockchain.
For those of you not knowing what this is, well, it's a small PHP package that makes interaction with the JSECoin a breeze, allowing you to do all sort of operations, like getting the balance of an account, exporting a coin, making a transfer, etc.
While this may seem like a trivial endeavor, I think it's far from it. Choosing PHP was a strategic decision, because a lot of legacy code in PHP is still lingering around over the internet (think only the huge coverage that WordPress still has on the web). So webmasters having sites written in PHP, from Drupal to WordPress, and from Laravel to Code Igniter, now have a way to seamlessly interact with the JSECoin blockchain.
Oh, you don't know what JSECoin is, either?
Well, it must be that you're new around here, because I wrote extensively about this project, ever since they launched it, about a year ago. JSECoin is a browser-based mining blockchain, aiming to help webmasters to monetize their internet properties. Instead of running ads from, let's say, AdSense, you just add a small snippet to your website and your visitors may be able to opt-in to browser mining. Meaning that, while they are browsing your site, the browser will be doing some light Proof Of Work stuff (less than 10% CPU), which will generate JSE tokens for the webmaster. And if they opt-in, but at some point they want to get out, they can do this very easily too.
JSECoin is still running their ICO, by the way, and, as fast as I know, they will be doing this until October (or until the hard cap is reached).
If you want to know more about this, have a look at their site.
Disclaimer: I support this project, I own a certain amount of JSE tokens and the link above is an affiliate link, meaning I will get a small reward if you sign up using it.
I'm a serial entrepreneur, blogger and ultrarunner. You can find me mainly on my blog at Dragos Roua where I write about productivity, business, relationships and running. Here on Steemit you may stay updated by following me @dragosroua.
Wanna know when you're getting paid?
I know the feeling. That's why I created steem.supply, an easy to use and accurate tool for calculating your Steemit rewards | |
I believe, as blockchain technology keeps growing, projects like JSECoin will get much more attention and become an income for many sites as people will value the option of getting rid of annoying adds for a small free hardware ressource.
They are moving strategically...
I am very optimistic about JSECoin's future...
The team is great certainly this is going to be the best ico ever
Thanks for explaining as to the use of it @dragosroua
Another milestone for this great crypto.
Hope to see general adoption of it sooner.
Strange combination at first, I admit, but you were perfectly right about PHP's legacy nature. This language is here to stay, and truth be told, is still much more established than NodeJS and the likes, anyway.
Thank you for the updates. Glad to peer you posting again.
I finished sing up on "JSEcoin", hopefully I will get the next update. Thank you dear.
Hi @dragosroua, long time . I would like to know more abt jse tokens. Do they have any ico or something?
Yes, they are running an ICO as we speak. I think they are in the 8% bonus stage, but I'm not sure. Better check the site directly.
Just hearing about it too. So many innovations of the blockchain. How on Earth can one keep up? How do you do it? Even when I want to invest I have no idea which one to do so
I made piece with the fact that I can lose some opportunities, and I do my best to stay afloat on this ocean of information. Some projects are very good, some are ok, and the vast majority is garbage.
I have been using jsecoin browser mining on my website for sometime now and I have been able to mine around 2200 jsecoin. I just hope my effort will pay off when they officially launch their platform and the price skyrocketed in future
From the logo that looks like a fox, i'm trying to understand some possible links between what is mozzila firefox as platform, bat/basic attention tokens for the adds/commercials on the new blockchain and jsecoin as a mining browser mining blockchain ( which i don't know yet if needs to be installed as extension or it's different than that?) ... maybe this kind of fusions will happen'at some moment in the Future.
Do you use it?
Thanks for sharing this awesome info @dragosroua
Regards
Do they have a browser based app, like presearch or have there own browser, which while I browse the internet with it, I earn some countries or token, are there reputable browser that does that.
Nope, it works in any browser.
