AEON Financial Service and IBM are developing a financial blockchain platform oriented to the Asian market. This is reported on the IBM website.
The blockchain platform, created in partnership with IBM Japan, is designed to make financial services more accessible in a number of Asian countries. The new solution will provide the opportunity to carry out crypto-currency payments between companies and individuals, and will also expand the possibilities of managing loyalty programs.
"We see the broad capabilities of the blockchain that underlies this platform, and we will strive to take advantage of this technology to improve the quality of services in regions with an undeveloped financial system." - said Masaaki Mangetsu, Managing Director for Global Business Strategies.
At the heart of the blockchain platform is the technology Hyperledger Fabric. The first stage of pilot testing of the new development will begin in early July.
"Being an innovative technology, the blocking company is able to make cardinal changes in business processes, making them transparent and more efficient." - said representatives of IBM Japan.
AEON is the largest Japanese retailer. Its division, AEON Financial Service, provides various financial services, including banking, lending, microfinance, both in Japan and 11 other Asian countries.
Earlier ForkLog reported that IBM and the largest Japanese bank Mizuho are developing a blockbuster platform for managing supply chains and settlements for international trade transactions.
That's good news! But I think they will not have an ICO or coins for sale, I think it will be just the blockchain technology in their "closed" system, so if we want to invest, we should buy some classic IBM stocks 😐 but, companies like this announcing the use of blockchain is good for all the crypto's out there! Thanks for sharing!
Yeah, there is no any new about ICO(
If IBM would hold an Ico, i defently would buy a lot of their coin!
