1. New Platform Release
Changes implemented
- Improved and simplified sign-up process
- Optimized interface for mobile devices, platform now fully usable on mobile devices.
- Possibility to create / import an ERC20 compatible wallet within the platform, which is located in the device/browser it was created. The Metamask option will be maintained for users who already registered with their Metamask wallet.
- The KYC will only be necessary when withdrawing funds from the wallet and not before starting to lend.

Upcoming Implementations
- Fiat payment gateway for smaller amounts, meaning that for lenders who are not familiar with crypto can contribute without having to buy ethers nor create a crypto wallet. This is great advancement of our MVP towards mass adoption.
- Introduction of a stable token to minimize volatility of crypto currency
- Improvements in platform stability
Further development items in the pipeline
- Optimization of the wallet creation process
- Platform via social media logins
- Automated payments solution that changes to Ethers from credit cards and acts for the user in order to lend/contribute to a loan project
- Improvement to the transaction sections in the user profiles

2.First repayments of platform loans
Further to the great news about the platform improvements we are also proud to announce the first 2 repayments of loans that were funded via our platform. The communities of La Boquilla and Las Delicias will be returning the first batch of their loan requests before the end of the month, including the 15% interest rate based on the local currency. Funds can be reclaimed by logging into your user account on app.ethichub.com and clicking on the reclaim button within the loan page.
We have currently one open lending project for the coffee farmers of the community of San Rafael, also located in Chiapas. The same interest rate as previously applies (15%) and almost half of the project has been funded so far. In order to participate visit the loan page here.
3. Design for Development Award
EthicHub won the " Design for Development" award as well as a mention in the area of "Service Design" at the Ibero-American Design Biennial (BID18), which took place 2 weeks ago in Madrid! A jury composed of specialists from Colombia, Portugal, Mexico, Guatemala, Turkey, Argentina and Spain has chosen us among other 450 proposals. The awards are conceded in cooperation with the Spanish Cooperation agency (Cooperación Española). Read more on this fantastic recognition for our project on this recent EthicHub blog post. The official opening ceremony of the bienal will be on 26th of November in the Matadero cultural centre in Madrid.
4. Social Enterprise Membership
EthicHub forms now part of the Social Enterprise non-profit ecosystem in Spain, which comprises of many companies that work in the areas of circular economy, triple balance, collaborative economy, with a large community behind it. They also run a consultancy for social impact and organize events to foster and educate on alternative forms of economy.
EthicHub is invited to the next SE meetup on 27th of November in Madrid, and will be represented by our Blockchain advisor and known Blockchain writer Iñigo Molero. He will participate and speak about the topic of Blockchain and its objectives for sustainable development.
