E-Commerce is one of the fastest growing Industries of the last 10 years. The astronomical growth is really impressive with some of the richest men in the world emerging from the Industry. According to research, only 25% of companies surveyed have yet to open an online outlet, with more than 50% agreeing to open one very soon.
The Growth rate of the E-commerce industry is a whopping 23% per year with DHL forecasting international trade will grow at twice the rate of domestic E-commerce through 2020.
E-commerce makes shopping for goods and services as seamless as possible. You get to sit in the comfort of your home while your orders get delivered. You can shop from a wide array of services without even leaving your sitting room. These are the comforts that customers wouldn't want to lose and that is why this Industry will continue to grow in leaps and bounds.
With the growth in cross-border E-commerce comes the need for a fast and seamless transaction. But unfortunately, in most cases, this isn't the case. The stress of converting your currency to the currency of the receiving party can be frustrating and a pain. The use of PayPal etc solved some of these issues but the method of payment is not accepted in some countries.
Some of the issues plaguing the E-commerce space are outlined below;
- No way for stores to identify the customers
- Data Security
- User - friendly interface
- Too many competitors.
- Product returns and refunds processing
- Easy payments. Etc.
These and many more are the issues Elysian have come to solve.
The Blockchain and E-Commerce
The intentions of the founders of the Blockchain was to be a currency that knows no boundary. A currency that can be used anywhere by anyone for their daily needs. But looking at what it is being used for these days, it's a far cry from the intended use. ICOs springing up every day without the real use of their tokens. Developers and Investors also just want to make a quick buck and move on. It is now a pump and dump scheme which is not healthy and is detrimental to the growth of the Blockchain. Elysian wants to stand out from the pack and brings a project that has a real value and use in the world.

Elysian is an ingenious E-commerce platform that will have the Blockchain as its backbone. it will leverage on the benefits of the blockchain to build a giant E-commerce platform.
Decentralized - The platform will be decentralized, which means the customers' data won't be stored in a centralized or single server. This won't be openly visible to hackers. It will also operate with the use of smart contracts which means transactions can be performed with trust. the process will be smooth because of the already pre-defined codes inputted in the system.
Elysian will host its Token Generation Event as an ERC-20 token on the public Ethereum blockchain. Upon completion of the TGE, all tokens will be converted on a 1:1 basis to a private Ethereum side-chain with Proof-of-Authority consensus, reached by independent validators. A private chain will have many advantages over a public one, such as cheaper transactions, lower latencies, and more control
It is a known fact that the more user-friendly a website is, the more likely a user is bound to return. Consumer satisfaction comes from the seamless navigation of a platform. The Elysian Platform will integrate artificial intelligence AI into the framework to give users a personalized feel of the platform. It will help in easy navigation, reminding users of the last pages they visited and answer in-depth questions. This will create an ambiance of feeling at home. This has never been implemented in any E-commerce platform before. With this, the stores on the Platform will be assured of customer's satisfaction and this will greatly increase sales. The Elysian platform is open to clients that have their Online stores. It will act as a gateway connecting owners of stores with consumers.
