Moving to Ogilvy, Layla thrived in her role as Social Media Digital Lead, advising The Government of Mexico, and winning a Gold Sabre Award for her work with the Mexico Tourism Board. This period with Ogilvy also included extensive work on crisis communications, social media strategy, and multi-channel content creation for Bayer, Johnson & Johnson, UnitedHealth Group, and The State Department.
As Senior Vice President at FleishmanHillard, Layla spent two years flexing her marketing muscles across a wide range of integrated disciplines, for global brands such as Visa. Moving on to Leo Burnett, she became the Global Social Media Strategy Lead for Samsung Social Media Center and the Samsung Global Marketing Center, directing global marketing campaigns for one of the world’s largest technology brands.
Over the past 15 years, Layla has pulled off a quite remarkable feat, leading marketing strategies for blue chip companies and specialist brands alike, while also keeping one foot in the world of journalism, where she continues to shine a light on the sectors she comes into contact with.
