I have hundreds of professionals in my LinkedIn network from the publishing community, a ton of Hollywood execs and a thousand more from various other industries represented as well, and I just recently noticed, only a few people from all those industries have been as inviting as the blockchain community.
This is what I have observed:
The blockchain community seems to have a hope and optimism about them that the other industries don't. There's room for freedom of expression, entrepreneurship and collaboration from everyone.
The blockchain community as a whole is far more passionate about their industry. Their online engagement level should be envied by all other industries. I have had a few people ask me if there was anything they could help me with and I genuinely believe they were sincere in wanting to help me and without getting something in return.
They almost have a protectiveness about their community as well. I have seen them jump in on a debate when an outsider questions one of their own.
They know the blockchain is going to transform the world and not just through digital money, but open digital governments and the way we do business.
So maybe this is why there is a jolly "Welcome to the community" spirit pervading the community. They have hope for a better future.
What do you think?
@melanieswolfe I think you’re right on! I noticed this as well when I joined. This is a great post. Steem on!
