Recall that in the early stages of the existence of bitcoin, Roger Ver was one of the main evangelists of the first cryptocurrency and was even known by the nickname “Bitcoin Jesus”. After some time, however, he went to the Bitcoin Cash supporters camp, playing an important role in the hard fork implemented in 2017, as a result of which BCH was born.
He was also an active participant in the war that broke out in 2018 between Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV, speaking on the same side with former Bitmain head Cihan Wu against the self-proclaimed Bitcoin creator Craig Wright.
In May of this year, Wright sold a lawsuit against Vera to defend honor and dignity, but this week the High Court of London refused to consider this case, saying that it did not find sufficient grounds for proceedings in British jurisdiction.
Roger Ver announced plans to launch his own exchange in September 2018, and according to a message on Bitcoin.com, the platform has already opened pre-registration. The exchange is expected to launch in September this year, its base currency will be Bitcoin Cash, and users will be offered more than 50 trading pairs.
In addition, tokens based on Simple Ledger Protocol (SLP), a protocol tied to the Bitcoin Cash blockchain, will be presented on the new exchange.
