What is the 0x Protocol (ZRX)?
0x is an open protocol that allows any ERC20 token to be traded on the Ethereum blockchain which will be used to build a decentralized exchange. 0x aims to make token trading with off-chain transactions more efficient by running smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain. Since Oct 2016. 0x's trading uses an off-chain ordering relay that lowers Gas prices and reduces traffic bottlenecks. 0x protocol aims to improve DEX's by combining off-chain ordering relays with on chain payments.
