I'm finding the development of Web 3.0 so interesting as someone who came into developing for Web 2.0 well into it's prime. My dad worked for startups my entire childhood and growing up in SF I always saw the creation of new systems and new ways of sharing information as such an important means of moving forward with the world.
While Web 3.0 obviously has some structural advantage over Web 2.0 I think there is also the ability to learn from our mistakes on a less technical level as well. For example, the rise of fake news and the devolving of platforms like Facebook and Twitter into screaming matches where no real dialogue can be had is not solely a problem to do with Facebook and Twitter as entities. The future is ours to claim, but its also ours to decide how to protect. How do we build systems that support strong democracy and debate? That are resilient to censorship but also resilient to abuse? These are problems that I think are far from being solved. We have a chance to solve them.
