As you mentioned sequencing the genome was like sending a man to the moon, but as Sydney Brenner once said the easy part is to put man on the moon but "The hard part is bringing him back.” And so the hard part of the genome sequence is getting back or interpreting the data that it carries. A great post and I think a very important issue is the privacy issues and what companies will do with your genomic information. It may look like a 3 billion letter code but those 3 billion letters in each of our genomes has a lot of unexplored information. But that information has the potential for abuse in the wrong hands.
