A couple weeks ago, I participated in a great womens blockchain hackathon here in Oakland. It was a 48 hour hackathon and I entered it with 4 of my friends, John, Davina, Patrick and Lauren. It was a great learning experience on how to work under pressure, streamline your process so its efficient, block out all the movement and frantic activity , putting ur head down and coming out with great results. We learned about new technologies...We were all exposed to Python which was really awesome. Namely NEO blockchain technology and artificial intelligence tools that we employed. We had a great ally on our side, Josh from Atlanta who I learned so much from. I really admired his approach, confidence, ability to see the big picture, and I learned a lot from him. Our team won $1000 and it was great encouragement to keep on with the blockchain hackathon mission that I've been on. We built a project for a critical women's issue, sexual assault. I'm being a little vague because the work is continuing on the project, but wanted to share this good news with my friends!
Squad at work...
