I'd be very surprised if they decide to let cryptocurrencies be openly traded and used in India.
After Modi's push for demonitization, by severely restricting the amounts of currency available to the general public, you'd think they would understand that digital assets are much harder for a government to control.
I do like the freedom of cryptocurrencies, but I fear that governments may see them only as routes of avoiding their own capital controls and enact draconian laws against them.
