American Express is Eyeing Blockchain for a Proof-of-Payments System

I LOVE AMERICAN EXPRESS!

American Express has been responsible (pretty much) for my good livelihood in the past 15 months or so! I can't even hide my love, gratitude and appreciation for American Express! I mean, do you want me to give you the actual reasons I love them so much? Alright, here they are:

Source

1. They were the first media I ever worked with that pays me by word. The rest (excluding Ars Technica) have paid me by piece/article or a monthly check.

2. They bought me free vacations to Paris, Malta, New York (well Ars Technica contributed to this as well), Mykonos last summer and so on.

3. They have given me a honorary Amex Platinum card for my collection. A few extra benefits that I would like to keep for myself.

4. They gave me the chance to interview one of my childhood heroes, Peter Bagge, back in January.

5. They were the first media who upgraded me from a staff writer to a deputy editor. And yep, this happened like a week ago.

In case you want to see some of my work for American Express, click here and it will take you on my page there. I have written 18 articles for them and edited a few more. Three more of my articles (including an interview of the awesome Becca Bair) will be published in September's edition.

I knew it already from our editor-in-chief that American Express is eyeing Blockchain for a proof-of-payments system, but I am not very confident that Steemit will be their choice (unfortunately for me; imagine having American Express voting your posts with 4 or 5 million Steem Power, huh?)

 Actually if @skapaneas sees this post and can recall one of our chats on FB, he can verify that I was the first who dropped them the idea to join Steemit back in February. Remember telling you that Σκάπα;

I mean, despite what some Steemit fanatics may tell you, a FIAT giant like American Express doesn't need no Steemit or EOS or whatever crypto coin for that matter, since we talk for the biggest and "baddest" credit card company in the world with a mythic net worth that can buy and sell 20 million platforms like Steemit. Whoever disagrees with what I just said, let's talk about it with logical arguments and actual numbers ;)

Regardless, the GIANT named American Express is still interested in testing the waters despite Bitcoin being a competitor to them. As you can see here, CNN confirms my claims.

Is Ned smart, ambitious and capable enough to make them "embrace" Steemit and Steem? I will personally benefit from it VASTLY, but then again Steemit as a whole will as well, if its boss manages to attract the first major U.S. financial services company. No?
