I would not wish what I have seen of corruption on anyone. Every vice you can name committed by police, or their agents - save organ harvesting, which I have not personally observed.
Murder, rape, beatings, financial crimes, drug sales, and sex trafficking are not only common, but supported and protected by national and international governmental agencies and private entities.
My heart is broken, my head is bowed, but my spirit remains indomitable. Were it not for my sons, whom I protect from my folly, I would have long ago charged these ramparts, and probably died in the assault.
It is for a reason that my avatar is open rebellion.
I remember daily that all men die, but some live first. While I do try to encrypt my identity to insulate my sons from the consequences of my writing, there is little that can be done to me beyond what I have already survived, and in RL my person is clearly targeted, for these many years.
Since the attacks on me aren't due to my efforts at public outreach (I keep my discussion of corruption anonymous and online, and I do not join groups, or participate in demonstrations in person), and I fully embrace the brunt of the personal attacks, that has prevented my family from being targeted. Were there larger reasons to quiet me, they would not remain safe, and flight would be my only recourse.
While I have been utterly flummoxed by the cunning and venality of my enemies, I am not particularly impressed with the intelligence with the boots on the ground.
I find it unfortunate that neither does it seem to be particularly required, as they easily pass off provably false narratives to a public that generally will tolerate whatever does not compel them to act to preserve their lives and treasure.
And as we can see by the outrageous taxation and divergence of wealth in the west, treasure is sacrificial - at least until it threatens the beer money.
One thing I have learned is that nothing is black and white, but even those that commit the most horrible crimes also may show great compassion and kindness in other contexts. A cop pimping out a string of girls with illegally seized drugs and blackmail might volunteer to serve in a food bank, or some other charitable endeavor.
People are more complex than we can imagine.

Ideas are as common as dirt. The world will not lack for my insights when I am gone. However, I do enjoy having them, and would prefer to be around after the ~7 weeks or so I am told I have left. Whether I fetch up the eternal shore sooner, or later, I expect the inevitable progress of human endeavor to eventually bring us into the felicity of our good company, in the fullness of time.
