What I do not understand is how abolishing cash by supposedly luring people into cryptocurrency would meet the alleged government goal of eradicating any private control over and/or having 100% view on citizen's personal finances .
Pushing cash out only to see oneself confronted by untraceable peer-2-peer Internet currency seems like a step back for government control.
I agree fully with you @wekkel - gov't can easily control cash (see: India cancelling 80% of its currency). You can't do that with bitcoin, unless you shut down the entire internet (which would destroy the country's infrastructure and kill a bunch of poeple)
