Is blockchain technology today like what the internet was in the 90's?

I believe we are seeing just the beginning of what blockchain technology can do. Everything from Bitcoin to Cryptokitties.

This system will help decentralize the economy in a way never imagined. Steemit is a great example of the potential of this technology. I think we will continue to see more of these platforms built on blockchain. These altcoins are like companies for blockchain that will be huge in the future. You all are the smart ones for investing in these cryptocurrencies and technology. In 5-10 years most of the trading will move to these altcoins/companies. The current stock market that is controlled by wall street will dissolve as you know it. This will move the power back to ordinary people and less power from the elite. So to me when I hear things like Ripple, Litecoin, and other cryptos I view them as same as investing in Apple or Microsoft back in they were first emerging. I don't have a magic ball but this is what could very well play out.

Another step in blockchain is "Smart Contracts" which is essentially what Ethereum is and why games like "CrytpoKitties" is just the tip of the iceberg to the range of possibilities with this technology.

One day in the future children will learn how "Crypto Kitties" had an impact in this technology.
