I think we can agree that it takes the most hardcore classical liberal or anarchist to walk around and feel enslaved by the Man or the System or what have you every waking moment. Or does it!? Let's break it down. First, my riff ...
Is it really so bad?
Why, certainly! Think about the futility of the individual voice in the US today. Look at how dictators freeing their people while keeping them under thumb. See how the current enforcer always finds a way to take them out?
If you don't believe me, ask my father-in-law.
Literally what is the solution?
I don't know, and I don't count on Libertarians to get elected, and I don't wish for a cataclysm to give an opportunity for a reset. After a natural disaster, we see both sides. Looters and rescuers, opportunists and organizers. It we're going to break away from the Red Shields milking the population of Earth for all we're worth, as well as [despots protecting us from them under their respective boots]https://fee.org/articles/what-is-the-sec-doing-to-blockchain-technology/), we need to break away.
Know what I'm saying?
Check out Downbelow Station for a dated sci-fi characterization of this. Watch or read The Expanse. We need merchant stations beyond their reach, brutal barriers of a fleet of drone platforms, and a proverbial "escape hatch" for everyone to get off station and head to another one or shut down mammalian power grabs. Blockchain AI can give that to us.
Don't like the idea of living under a robocracy? Are we going to have a choice? Can it be convinced to let us self-determine our lives and enforce it with rational, unbeatable efficiency? Fingers crossed!
