Hi all. I've heard of Steem a few months ago but due to a number of reasons I didn't make an account right there and then. One of the reasons was, I didn't understand fully the concept of the site. Also the notion of a social media site, where you could earn money only by interacting with others was to good to believe but my interest in Blockchains, Bitcoin and eagerness and passion to learn new things kept me interested in Steem, I bookmarked it and meant to go back to it soon after.
A few months went by and I finally made the account I should have made then. Regardless of my later arrival to the site, I'm very excited about it.
I'm already trying to get new users to the site and get involved. People of other languages and cultures.
No cultural appropriation involved in the making of this ideas ..... :P
Most of all, I'm hoping to have fun, do some writing and talk of things that interest me and hopefully other users, follow other influential users, those who got me here in the 1st place, amongst other things.
I'm only starting so I don't yet know how everything is and how it everything works but I'm a quick learner. I'm confidant I'll learn quick enough and there's also plenty of Steem users I can learn from.
I'm not a big FB user, but I'm involved in other forums, mainly, and Steem excites me more the every other social media site, mainly because I'm a massive blockchain groupie. I love blockchains, love the technology. It's not about the potencial earnings involved, even though that helps too, I'm not an hypocrite, to me personally it isn't the main motivation. The technology itself is what grabs me.
Blockchains are the future and we live in a brave new world, we should embrace it.
Anyway, just thought I'd say 'Hi'. I'll go for now and i'll see you all around. :)
