I feel like I can't take it anymore;
each throb a reminder of what I've lost:
my energy, my health, my independence,
they have all been tossed!
But I refuse to let pain control my life!
I'll keep fighting through the strife,
I'll hold onto hope and push through the tears,
I'll find strength to conquer my fears!
The pain may be a constant companion,
but I won't let it take hold and win,
I'll still smile and find moments of joy,
I won't let the pain my spirit destroy!
So I'll take a deep breath and hold on tight,
for the battle against pain, I'll continue to fight.
Hope will light the way, and I'll never let it fade!
The pain may be strong, but so am I, unafraid.
