IDK that any promises have been made to fix a specific thing, but the next fork would be the time to fix problems with the site. Bid bots and self-upvoting seem to be the two biggest problems. People running the bid-bots are basically ripping everyone off, and ruining Steemit. The only way to profit from a bit bot is if the ROI is close to 210%. anything lower than that, and you lose money. Everyone using bid bots loses their SBD/Steem. The quality of posts goes down, and those running the bid bots make hundreds of thousands of dollars.
I totally agree. Bid bots are a short sighted profit grab that subverts the potential for long term gains and ascent of the platform. It is the current mindset of our culture. The future looks bleak. It's a sign of the times.
