I haven't actually used blocktrades except once a month ago just to test out how to do it; and even then I only put in 0.001 of... I don't remember if it was steem or steembuck.
My sister has reached six dollars in steembucks, which doesn't sound like much but it's tied to the American currency which means it's like 6 kajillion billion Canadian dollars (my figure might be off)
I was wondering though is if there's a minamum amount that can be transferred through blocktrades?
Does anybody know?
Side question from me... are there known things we should avoid so as not to screw up the transfer?

likely depends more where you are transferring to than any minimum with blocktrades. For example if you are transferring to Quadrigacx .. and then want to transfer to your bank ... you'll need a minimum value of $50 CDN
That's actually who she's going with. I have an account with them but when I tried I sent it to my Bitcoin wallet on my phone.
But i was told quadrigacx is the only one that transfers to Canadian so I opened an account there.
I have to get her set up there as well.

Yes, I use QuadrigaCX ... I've sent fund through there a few times. I know the Kraken exchange will let you send to Canadian accounts but I prefer to use a Canadian based exchange.
I do my crypto trading on another exchange and then move to QuadrigaCX to move to my account. The last time I moved STEEM I was able to pick up some extra on it because Bitcoin was moving up at the time.. was a nice bonus.
I send the STEEM to Blocktrades to convert to BTC and then to QuadrigaCX
