We disabled our Steem dollar to Bitcoin conversion pathway a few days ago because our wallet was occasionally reporting a Steem input twice (which would cause us to send out bitcoin twice). This wasn't happening very often, but it was potentially a serious concern, so we disabled Steem inputs until we had a workaround. I don't think this was a problem for other exchanges, as I believe they are relying on scanning blocks for transactions, whereas we poll the transaction history and it seems likely the bug is in the transaction history code.
I'm happy to say we found a workaround: we're using what's called a "delayed node" that waits for about 30 seconds to allow the account history to "settle down" before we send an output, and we believe this should prevent the problem for now. As a longer term solution, we plan to investigate what's causing the false reports, but this gets us going for now. We had to make several fixes for the delayed node code to get it working on steem (this is technology developed originally with bitshares, but looks like it had never been tested with steem) and we'll submit our fixes to the steem repo.
If we don't detect any further problems, we expect to enable Steem to Bitcoin conversions soon as well.
@blocktrades happy to hear this good news

vitally )
Thank you for the integration with the internal wallet! I was able to make a tutorial that only requires one external account to buy Steem. Pretty cool.
wow $2,300 dollars from just 280 points!?! Haha this comment must have attracted all the steemit whales who regularly use blocktrade!
but can you please explain how it is that your blocktrades steemit account can actually send steempower as it shows up in the transfer history under wallet?!?!?! I dont get how youre sending steempower! Steempower doesnt have an option to actually send to anyone! I thought you could only receive steempower by either powering up steem or by earning it through upvotes!?!?!
This post was made a long time ago, when steemit was paying out pretty huge payouts. The payout ratio has since normalized to something less crazy.
We actually send Steem, not Steem Power, from our account, but we can use an operation called "transfer_to_vesting" that allows us to send it as pre-vested SteemPower (i.e. it arrives in the receiver's account as Steem Power). It's just a convenience function for our customers so that they don't have to manually power up the Steem. This function is probably not available from the web wallet still, but you can do it from the command-line steem wallet, which is what our trading system uses.
Thanks for this information. Do you know whether it will be available from the web interface? This could be useful also for other users.
Apparently it is now available from the web site. Here's the steps: 1) Go to your wallet page and click on your liquid steem amount and select "Power up" from the menu options that appears. Next, In the "Convert to Steem Power" dialog press the "Advanced" button at the bottom of the dialog and the dialog will change to give you the option to send the Steem Power to another account.

Good to get an update from you :)
i hope the problem will fix soon
Good excellent post upvote
is that not sounding like great news . it is
You guys are doing amazing work. I am not sure if this is the place to ask, but in the bitshares withdrawal section there is no place for open.steem memo, which means I can't transfer direct to poloniex. Am I missing something?
It's not possible to send a memo yet, so currently you have to first send to your steem wallet, then send it from there to poloniex. We're currently working to add memo support, I think we will have it in a few days.
Thank you for the update, mate.
Thank you for this!
Ah, I did wonder about that.
Thanks for the update, you can send me btc twice anytime you like :-D

Thank you for posting. Hope you get this to snowball to the top!
I up-voted you too... BTW, should steemit let us steemers advertise using steem? Be sure to tell everyone you know to come vote here at: https://steemit.com/steemit/@kingtylervvs/if-steemit-ever-does-decide-to-advertise-there-is-only-1-way-it-could-work-in-my-opinion-debate
This is a democratic community decision.
thank you for posting this!
