The concept of a pre-order is to order something before it's available for delivery. It's a standard industry term I believe. Anyways, I think it's a useful way to distinguish an order where the goods are available for delivery and the situation where there's a queue of buyers who have to wait longer than the normal delivery time. I suppose they could be called "pre-deliverability" orders, but that would be more of a mouthful.
