Who makes the best ASIC rigs in your opinion @sflaherty?
I've done a bit of research on the subject today, and it seems that bitmain isn't that very well thought of. (Delayed shipping until August sucks too).
Appreciate any thoughts you have on the topic.
It appears we are stuck with Bitmain as far as SHA256 as being the best, not the best service but they do put together the top of the line chipsets in the industry. Bitmain kind of killed off most of the competition in this area, been so many out of business in the SHA256 realm.
I do like the A4 for scrypt miners, they are really upping the game in that area and for x11 mining you can not beat a Baikal but they are very hard to come by. If you ever go used and in the scrypt area, Zeus Miners and the now out of business GawMiners done me well...I picked up a few used ones and they oddly still run like they are new.
Thanks very much for that in depth reply @sflaherty! Very useful information.
I looked into mining a long time ago, but have never felt comfortable jumping in until now.
Honestly as a miner we hit a long year from 2016-Feb 2017 where it was literally not so profitable to mine Bitcoin, now we are above that range so its a great time to mine again. Long as Bitcoin stays were we are now and rises even more its a great time to mine. Profitability calculators online can be the huges asset to have if you want to dig deeper into the benefits of mining. CoinWars has a great one
Good to know. :-D Will check out CoinWars for sure.
Thanks again!
