It's good to hear that particular scuffle is clearing enough to get business moving again, @blocktrades. I don't have investments in either, so I'm good, and probably wouldn't have been that happy about a fork, so that's fine.
But for all those who do I'm sure having you all up and open for business with Bitcoin ABC and potentially SV tomorrow will be welcomed.
On another note, since you run a witness, I'm wondering what your thoughts might be about Ned's announcement today regarding laying off most of their staff at Steemit Inc. I believe it will prove to be a positive move for everyone eventually, even if short term it does something to add to the FUD, or at least give more fodder to the pot stirrers who don't seem to need much to get going.
You?
It is unfortunate that the current pullback in crypto has led to such dramatic layoffs, but there does seem to be one positive coming out of it: it looks like Steemit is now focusing on optimizing the blockchain and supporting code to reduce the costs of maintaining the network and associated frontends.
I've been advocating for this for literally years now because it's been the biggest impediment to decentralization, new businesses, more exchange listings, etc. So while I'm saddened that it had to come at such a toll in human misery, I think the Steem community will emerge stronger for it in the end.
