Early this morning at work my boss came with your face tightened up and walk up to me after signing in. He told me to make sure nobody comes to the office without signing in again whether staff or visitors then mentioned a particular man’s name.

After he left I passed the information to other of my colleague. As the day progressed everyone coming was mandated to sign in but I noticed that some because of the familiarity they have with the office they don’t want to comply with the instructions.
The norms in my work place is for staff to sign in when coming in and sign out when leaving, visitor without appointment are not allowed in unless for official purposes and those with appointment too will sign in them fill in who to see and purpose of visit then note the time they came too and when leaving they sign out too.
Due to familiarity, some visitors began to come in defiling the rule and moving straight to the office of who they came to see which ought not to be. So, when my boss came up with the instruction again I knew something has transpired.
So when the man he mentioned specifically came this time around I told him to sign in then wait for me to confirm from whom he wants to see if he or she is expecting him, that was how this man began to talk and make scene, I wasn’t even moved or bothered I told him if he didn’t comply I won’t let him in, he later sluggishly comply after so much scene. When he later got the opportunity to see my boss he was reporting me to my boss and my boss insisted that I am doing my job and immediately he left my boss gave me thumbs up and ever since then his coming to the office reduced.
