When we where is Pai we wanted to go check out Elephants. There are many different places to go see elephants but many of there are not good. A lot of the elephant camps in Thailand allow you to ride the elephants, these type of places have been known to abuse and hit the elephants to control them and force them to carry tourist.
@karensuestudios did a lot of research and found a place in Pai that has one elephant that you can visit. They don't allow anyone to ride this beautiful creature. Conserve Natural Forests 's allows you to feed Kami the elephant and hang out with her. She eats bananas, A LOT of them!
One of their goals is to help re grow a forest. During your visit you also get to plant a tree! They want to plant one million trees this year! They use the elephant poo for fertilizer.
It was beautiful to see what this no profit has done so far.
They have planted so many trees and care so much for Kami!
Check out my @dtube video to see Kami the elephant and the beautiful land that she lives on. By the way, Kami is pregnant. She has her baby in a few months.
I can't wait to go back in a few year to see their progress of re growing a forest. If you get a chance, I highly recommend checking this place out. Their staff is awesome, we thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with them and Kami the elephant!

Amazing expirience with big vegeterian :)
that is for sure :)
I think it is our moral duty to preserve wild animals and it is not right to torture them and do any work with them
very true :)

This place is definitely on my bucket list . Kami is so awesome, look how big he is, and still just a child :))
It's amazing dear , beautiful animals and I love elephant . Thanks for sharing .
Namaste
A very memorable experience @acromott.
Incredible 👍...
I like you post. Thank you fou sharing
I see kami enjoyed your company. From the looks of it, you didn't want to leave. These people are on the right track of recreating a forest. With the elephant pregnant, it means it's starting a lineage.
The million trees will turn into a forest in around 5years which will be a perfect place to breed more elephants. What a beautiful place it will be, attracting much more tourists. Thats a great reward for the patience they are enduring with nature.
Did you know elephants are the only animals with four knees?
Elephants have a lot to teach us!
The elephants are my fav animals, and this is a hard choice for me because i like ans appreciate them all. They are veey intelligent and gentile and they deserve respect as a living being sharing this earth qith us. We dont have the right to own them and we can stop explotation also by posting here our experiences.
I visited a sanctuary last november in África too and i recommend people doing it if they can.
I like your blog a lot. The elephant loves you very much. We go to see elephants but can not go because we fear it. Can you tell me how to make my friend elephant?
Get time to visit my blog @subratabarua
A place where you can plant a tree a know beautiful elephants?? I would like visit it someday!
Aren't elephants such great creatures. You can see how gentle and caring they are just from their eyes. I remember my first time in Thailand and caring for my elephant too. Her name was MaeBhuTa.
I got to feed and bathe her. She was sooooo playful I loved it!
