We are always trying to guess what will be the next thing that will break on our vehicle. You dont have to be a car guru to know something is wrong. You drive your car all the time and know the sounds and feels.
When something is different take a little time and get it checked out.
If what the first place says doesn't convince you always get a second opinion.
At my shop a lot of times I tell someone to get a second opinion
(especially if our techs can't 100% verify the issue)
An honest shop will look out for you as a customer.
Here are a few tips to help you with your car.
Most cars have computers in them that adapt to the way you drive overtime. Driving the car easy will overall let the computer put smaller inputs in number of other sensors. Driving your car nice and smooth will extend your gas mileage and put less wear overall on all the components in your car.
Avoid potholes if possible. Here in Chicago we have rough roads to drive on. Not paying attention and slamming into these potholes really does a number on your car. Even if nothing breaks right away the wear on the suspension is increased many times over and will not last as long. If you have to go over potholes GO SLOW!
Keep your tires inflated correctly. This is very important, in the Winter the cold makes your tires loose pressure. This will effect your gas mileage and also cause uneven wear on your tires. Most shops will check your air pressure for free.
Monday morning at the shop. Crew working hard after being recharged from the weekend!
work mechanics in my country venezuela, I could not get a post on this topic here in steemit, luck and success in his workshop, which looks very nice, and would give a final advice if it allows readers, avoid water that both mistreat our cars .. greetings
thank you :)
Never was great as a mechanic....was forced to do my own work as a young poor dad however. And my cars paid the price LOL.

Very useful information here. Perhaps when I get over my fear of driving, I'll be taking some of what I've learned here into account.
