Elephant Riding in Thailand

in #blog7 years ago

Was able to spend some time in Thailand; definitely one of my favorite countries. The food there is especially great. I wasn't a huge fan of the tourist heavy places; but if you drive about 30 minutes away then it is much more peaceful and there is great scenery all around. My sister and I visited what they call "sticky waterfall" (i'll post some pictures when I find them....).

Here we got to ride some elephants (obviously). It was a great experience, but the best part wasn't riding them but actually interacting with them on the ground. You really don't understand how smart and intelligent Elephants are until you get a chance to spend some time with them - if you ever get that chance you should definitely take it.

This is such a cool picture :) Hope to make it to Thailand in the near future :)

yes, you should definitely visit! thanks for stopping by and nice gif :)

You know, I've had tons of opportunities to ride elephants but have yet to try it. They do say that an elephant's memory is quite remarkable. We should defo include elephants in the Steempunkverse!

I actually didn't find it terribly fun to ride the elephant, but interacting with them on the ground was great! I highly recommend that!
A mechanical elephant? That could be pretty cool....
