What is root?
Root is the process of adding a superuser account to our mobile, similar to the "Administrator" account in Windows.
On our Android device we do not have this access by default. The result, among other things, is that many useful applications within the Play Store do not work without root on Android. The over-user's account already exists within our device. However, Google's operating system, as well as several manufacturers, do not allow us to acquire such rights. With root on Android we are dodging these limitations and gaining full access, thereby increasing the device's capabilities.
Unlock bootloader
Although Android is relatively open software, all devices come with the bootloader locked. This ensures that the user will remain with the firmware that was intended for that device. The action of unlocking is the necessary traffic that is required, so then move on to a custom revovery software, and then make the root to Android.
Τhe positives of the root
- Many apps on Google Play require Root. Such applications can be used either for simple things like tethering, screenshots, theft protection, and for much more specialized things like packet capturing, arp poisoning, disabling ads, or setting up an ftp server that binds to port 21.
- Many manufacturers have the bad habit of passing on our mobile apps-garbage (aka crapware). So if we want to get rid of some preinstalled applications doing root is the only way out.
- After Root we have the ability to overclock our mobile processor to go faster as well as downclock if we want battery life.
The negatives of the root
- Many manufacturers refuse to repair a device if it has become root, even if the failure is not related to this process.
- All root methods are based on a security vulnerability found, as well as the corresponding exploit exploiting that particular void. Although most procedures are relatively secure, whenever we rely on exploits, there is the possibility of something wrong and we can not open our mobile.
- Incorrect post-root actions can have devastating effects on our device. In simple cases, changing a system file can make our mobile not open, which will require a more complex process to "make". In the worst case scenario (eg overclocking), there is a chance that we will completely destroy the CPU (hardware) of your device and not repair it.
How to root my device?
As mentioned above, the root process involves executing a exploit, so our device must be vulnerable to a security vulnerability to get root.
You can see if your device is rooted with Root Checker
Κingroot allows us to root our device within a few seconds:
But as i said before you have to be careful
Also you can see if your device is rooted with Root Checker
Can i unroot my device?
You can unroot your device at any time. Generally, most root programs give us an Un-Root option, and UnlockRoot is one of them.
Incompatibility of devices
However, there is a chance that we are the unlucky of the case, as two types of mobile are available on the market. Those that allow us to unlock the bootloader, and the rest that do not.
This incompatibility depends on the manufacturer of our phone, the model we have, and in some cases the provider.

Ah, I loved that I could root my OnePlus One and just do everything you could possibly want... Good times! I haven't found much use for rooting lately except for some audio enhancement solutions and some anti-theft apps. Enjoyed the read.
Good luck! and thanks for reading:)
Great Post Andrew!
thank you!
Rooting is giving us the freedom to use the harware we apid for as u like . even instaling owr ROM (rom is the os of the mobiledevices) but coz it is a hack because we aer hacking the original firmware its kind risky and doesnt has the same procedure. I believe that as long we paying for the device we should have the freedom to put any rom we want and not having all those spamming apps and advertising at something belongs to us. If android devices were easier to root people easily they would use and older devices now are outdated coz there are communities making roms for these to be usable again. But i think its something companies dont want to be done. I have tried and make very old pcs to be somehow usable but never on mobiles phones and its something i want to research it. But propably is hard because im a person i change phone when i broke it . btw nice post and can be understand from people are less tech savy
