La Reina del Pop ofreció un concierto gratuito el pasado 4 de mayo en la playa de Copacabana en Río de Janeiro Brasil para cerrar su gira "The Celebration Tour" por sus 40 años de carrera artística. Al evento asistieron 1.5 millones de personas, la cantante ofreció este único show por el momento, para sus fanáticos de Sudamérica que llegaron con días de anticipación a la ciudad brasileña. Es de recordar que en el año 2006 la reconocida banda de rock, Rolling Stone hizo también un concierto gratuito en esta playa con casi la misma asistencia.
La chica material inició el histórico concierto con "Nothing Rally Matter"de su disco "Ray of light", se conoció que la interprete de 65 años debió modificar algunos detalles de su actuación por una lesión en su rodilla por lo que se le vio usar una férula de compresión elástica en su pierna izquierda durante todo el show. Madonna entró en el escenario de 812 metros cuadrados vistiendo un quimono negro y comenzó a interpretar sus más conocidos temas. Durante el espectáculo la cantante realizó un homenaje a las victimas de VIH interpretando “Live to Tell”, también invitó al escenario a artistas brasileños como Anitta y Pabllo Vittar. Con la primera realizó una competencia de baile mientras interpretaba “Vogue” y con la conocida drag queen bailó el tema “Music” al ritmo de samba. De esta manera la cantante estadounidense terminó su “Celebration Tour” que inició en el mes de octubre de 2023.
