I WATCHED "A QUIET PLACE"
The movie was released in the UAE last April 5, and now only did I get to watch it - almost 2 months later.
I may have been living under a rock because I did not know about this movie until I read this piece by @hanshotfirst few days ago. I got interested from then on and finally the other day I got hubby to get a copy so we can watch at home.
Bring in the pop corn!
The movie is wonderfully crafted, full 90 minutes of compelling storyline!
Basically, there's a family who is thriving to survive from monsters who attack based on sounds. Make a sound, and you're gone!
The only characters in the movie are the family members and the alien-looking monsters, plus a strange guy who made a brief appearance mid-story. This said, it did not affect the flow of the story. If anything, I feel it added to the intimacy of the story.
Suspense-Emotional Movie?!
Well, this is unexpected!
The movie does well in keeping you at the edge of your seat, while biting your toes. How do you expect to keep quiet at all times?! Oh, did I mention that the mom (played by Emily Blunt) was pregnant? You have to watch the movie to find out how she delivers the baby without making a sound, if that is even possible.
The emotional part? Yeah, I was not ready for it. I am a cry baby and this thriller made me shed unexpected tears. It really tugged my heartstrings. Whew!
Tell your family you love them. Show them your affection. No matter what situation confronts you, your family will back you up no matter what.
Recommended!
I loved the movie and I am sure I am not the only one. If you are in for some heart stopping and heart breaking movie, then you will definitely love it.
Here, check out the trailer below for a sneak peak into one of the best movies of 2018 so far:
And oh! If you decide to watch it, then try to also remember @michellpiala's do's and dont's when watching "A Quiet Place".

this is definitely a must see.. a very unique approach on how to tackle the unknown. and unlike others, limiting once sound in a world full of noises is something out of the box and outright difficult to do :)
Very true. How can we ever survive in total silence?!
I stopped breathing watching this movie. And that scene the night the baby was born made feel the hardship of labor once again plus an alien in the delivery room..sssssshhhhh
OMG! Don't get me started on that scene. That was soooo intense! :D
Finally nagka-time din kayo. And additional info po the protagonists, john and emily, are real life couple, and their deaf child in the movie is really deaf in real life that makes the acting so genuine. 😍😍
Yes, grabe yung connection ng characters even they were not speaking, the facial expressions and eye contacts were so truthful.
I was crying where the father told his daughter "I've always loved you" part.
I guess we need to watch movie together sis.
LOL
If only they found early the solution her father would’ve died😥
Yun yun eh! 😢😢😢
Thanks for the info, Gina list this movie on my soon to watch film.
Would be worth your time. 😉
