Tapping into useful ideas

in #blog7 years ago

Do you realize knowledge is power! How `thirsty’ are you for it? And when you’ve got it, what will you do with it? Can you use it to your advantage?

Where do we get knowledge from?

On the internet, we have more than what a library holds. We have live people adding their varied experiences, interacting from all over the world.  Working from different viewpoints, traditions and climes….

There is so much more we can tap into.

  • From the business and marketing perspective, you can act on collective knowledge.
  • And do as you please. Selecting and re-arranging facts to suit your own niche.

When first reading a website’s contents, we generally go from a “So what” attitude, to “I get it!” attitude.

But do we “get it?”  Do we make use of what we have learnt?

According to internet marketing strategies:

On the internet we trade through social collaboration

  • Product branding: is strengthened through social engagement and constant exposure.
  • Word-of-mouth supposed to help (or should I say brag-of-mouth), when you add testimonials to your site.
  • And talking from our own experiences, adds the human credibility factor. “If he did, and it worked for him, so can I…” response.
  • We are told asking questions and working from useful insights, gives you power. What are we doing with those insights?
  • And that first impressions count: That people buy according to their senses and emotions. And if they don’t like it, it’ll be a `long road’ to sell it, eventually. So how much are we aware of those things that turn people on?

But it’s not just the quality of our content…

It’s the added comments that give you additional info.

(And I’m not talking about spam and the irresponsible stuff some people hi-jack blogs with)

If you sift through your comments, you will find there are some very thoughtful people out there:

  • Who really care and keep to the topic of the content.
  • Who supply useful info and share valuable supportive facts with us.

How should you use it?

According to your ‘gut feelings’… you say to yourself, “Somewhere within all that, sit the `nuts and bolts’, that you could turn around, to your advantage!”

How to lock into those powerful dynamic facts:

We don’t get inspiration when we are stressed out. We need to take time out to rest. Surely that’s why God gave us Sunday to rest in!

  • I’ve found most of my inspirational moments happens when I’m resting peacefully. Especially when in a bath full of warm water. Others have told me, it happens while having a warm shower.
  • Another time for me, is that transitional time just before waking in the morning. If I don’t write it though, down quickly enough while the wonderful ideas are warm and buzzing through my mind, they fizzle out and are lost forever. Shame.

When is it? When do you have your most inspirational moments? I would love to know.

Because it’s those inspirational feelings that locks us into what really counts!

If you go to my list of blogs (@artguru) you will find many more tips on blogging and improving websites. That is my main theme. But I also write short stories and about the places I've been to. Been an artists I've been to some really beautiful places in my life time.

Wonderful post and thoughtful too. Funny as it seems my inspirational moments come when i am sitting on the water closet, then and there i get the big picture.

Moments of inspiration for me are always either in the shower or while I'm out for a walk. A clear mind is a happy mind! I've also heard many people say that when they're having difficulty coming up with a solution to a problem, the solution randomly comes to their mind when they're relaxed in the shower or bath.

I also just want to say that not only is knowledge power, but the application of the knowledge itself is what makes the knowledge powerful. Just my opinion :D Great post, @artguru!

About "the application of knowledge", I'm glad you pointed that out. I was wondering how many of the readers would catch on. It's how we apply it. Whether we use part of it or rearrange it, or both, to suit our circumstances and make it work for us personally.

I like this post

a good inspirational post, 100% agree with u that knowledge lies everywhere u can benefit from a book to a website or even from just a person to a child, its how we take in the information offered to us , and use it as an inspiration to make us more knowledgeable. :-) i have it sometimes in the bath,i normally always take my baths with hot water, sometimes by watching an anime, or even just sitting and looking at nature or water. and before i go to sleep.

I love those relaxing moments. They are always so exciting for me, knowing some idea or other will pop into my mind... and the possibilities I can run with!

True, keep up the inspiration.

nice post
