36 hours with out my laptop.

in #blog7 years ago

On Wednesday night I opened a rar file and my laptop and now it won't turn on, Last night I wanted to come on to steemit and post but all I had was my mobile phone and that is not good for posting on here.

I got my daughters laptop out and that is full of crap and was so slow that I have gotten up this morning and it has finally after a long wait turned on.

so here I am, back on steemit.

Yesterday was one of those days, @wrongjohn asked me to pick his lad up from school, so when I went to the car some donut had parked behind me making it impossible to get out. I had to be there at 3.00pm and I finally roled into school at 3.13pm.

When I got there It turned out his little lad was poorly with an ear infection, I dosed him up with calpol and made him some tea.

I am just hoping today turns out better

omg, I can't manage without my laptop!. The last time I had an issue a few years ago I had to go back to using a really old laptop to get online, and it was such a pain as I use my laptop for my business, and rely on it so much. I now have everything backed up to an online cloud, so I can access data on other pcs (I could use my daughters in an emergency). Glad you got the laptop working, and managed to pick your friends son up, there are so many inconsiderate drivers out there. I bet the air was blue when you saw the car boxing you in

It's been killing me, my daughters laptop is pants, So I got mine back out and re-flowed the graphics card took a little while, I cleaned out the fan and just turned it on. Now its running like before so I am happy.

sounds very technical with the graphics card (way beyond me!), good that you have managed to get it going again, they are so expensive to buy.

Years ago I did a BTECH course, So computers are pretty easy to fix when you know how. my problem these days are that I don't have the tools any more.
I had a shop in sheffield fixing broken electronics and did well, when I decided to sell up and move on to been a chef I sold everything.
My mate has a shop that I have to pop down to get things from such as the heat gun, thermal paste and what not.
One day I might by a better laptop but while I can keep this going I might as well keep it.

yes tools are key, and good to have those skills. I am hoping to get a new laptop later this year, and I will keep the current one for spare, as I need one really. I use mine all day, so it gets a lot of use.

Always good to have a spare, I was lucky that my kids laptop was working (well kind of)
I don't like not been able to surf the net, it feels like my legs have been cut off. haha

yep same here, I live most of my life online, as I am working online. When the internet goes off I go a bit mad (I am mad enough already!)

Drew my laptop been broken for weeks. In all fairness i use the app E Steem to post all my blogs.I take photos on my phone and post it straight. It works better for me as i am constantly on the go.Its mad how we rely on technology sooo much.Oh dont get me started when the internet goes down. All hell breaks loose in my family. From my hubby to kids we turn into very angry people. The world suddenly becomes smaller again.we have no contact with civilisation and the outside world.lol

They do say if you want to find where your kids are in the house just turn your wifi off, they soon come out looking to see whats gone off haha

Lol omg thats such a good idea.Mine will defo come running to mummy and daddy when the internets down.I will try that next time!👍🏼

i was already missing your posts, but you are back again, that's what's counts
good luck for the boy

I am back, back again. lol
Lads doing alright now, he went to hospital and they said he had an ear infection, gave him drops and now he seems to be on the mend.
