Where have I been

It's been almost 5 months since I last made a post here. Why is this the case? Where have I been? Moving to another country must be one of the hardest and most strenuous things I've ever done. In the middle of August, I moved from Ghana to the USA for my studies. Before moving, I had to go through a couple of moving preparations which was also very stressful.

My flight was a day and a half. There were three transits and they were continuous. My whole journey was with Turkish Airlines but once I got to the US, I took a local flight, Jet Blue Airways. The journey was very smooth. There was not much turbulence. The weather was pretty good throughout the entire flight. I left Ghana on a Friday and got to the US on Saturday night.

I was thrilled to arrive because I was so tired and needed to rest only to realise that my baggage didn't arrive with me. [had lost my baggage, all of them. I got so worried. First time in another man's land and this is what I was welcomed with. I got so disturbed. I called the flight and they told me my baggage was in New York. Mind you, I had already left New York so my school's city was almost 5 hours away.

The flight assured me that I would receive my baggage in a few days and there was nothing to worry about. Days passed, weeks passed and I still hadn't received my baggage. Thankfully, the international office of the school was extremely helpful. They gave me the basics I needed and helped me get some stuff from the store too.
Fast forward, my baggage came a little after 3 weeks. I filed a report for delayed baggage and thankfully they refunded me the items I bought (the airline) which was so very nice of them.

By the way, I had a little bit of difficulty, trying to fit into the time scheme and merge with the system due to the time differences as I am from a different country. It was really hectic for me because I had to quickly adapt and make progress. To worsen the situation, my class schedule was really tight and I had to keep my grades up because there is an exam every week unlike Ghana where exams were written at the end of the semester.

Due to this I had to prepare everytime which made me really busy, making me unable to write for hive.
Fortunately, now I've been able to adjust and fix my schedule and I can now be able to write more.

Interesting development. Congrats on the move, and on pursuing further studies! Glad to see that you're getting a hang of the schedule and will be back to writing more here. Look forward to hearing more about your move and transition:)
